What to Bring
For the purpose of bonding and having fun, Camp Robert will be a technology-free environment. Unless needed for medical/other important reasons, campers are asked to keep their phones away in their backpacks until the end of the day.
- Backpack Make sure to bring one large enough to carry lunch, snacks, and any other clothes.
- Lunch We will be eating around 12-1 PM. We recommend also packing some separate...
- Snacks For a snack break around 11 AM, when campers generally begin to feel a little bit hungry. Smaller snacks like protein bars or yogurt are recommended.
- Water Bottle A bottle of water will be very important. About 24 OZ is recommended- campers will be able to refill during camp.
- Athletic Shoes Make sure that they are comfortable to run in, many games will involve lots of movement.
- Hat with a Brim (Optional) Recommended due to sun.
- Sunscreen (Optional) Sunscreen is highly recommended due to the sun during the day. We often have some available to borrow as well.
- A Big Smile Very much necessary.
On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
In addition to the items above, there are a few more important items:
- Swimsuit For going in the pool- or the ocean, if it's Friday.
- Towel For drying off after swimming.
- Sandals (Optional) Not required, but sometimes a good idea for during and after the pool since it may be uncomfortable to put socks and shoes back on right after. On Friday's when we're at the beach, sandals are a very good idea.
In addition to the items below, bring the following on Wednesday's:
- Baseball Bat We like to do live hitting, and sometimes we'll scrimmage too- a good, well-sized bat is very important.
- Baseball Glove You are definitely going to want a baseball glove. Make sure that the glove fits well and is broken in.
- Batting Helmet Helmets are required in order to keep everyone safe. It should fit well.
- Cleats (Optional) Baseball cleats are recommended, but campers may use cleats designed for other sports. Make sure to bring normal athletic shoes as well.
- Batting Gloves (Optional) Good for reducing shock and improving grip, but not required.
And on Friday's only...
- Boogie Board (Optional) Often times, some campers like to go boogie boarding in the ocean.
- Shovels/Sand Toys (Optional) Campers almost always love to spend time building in the sand, and it often leads to many group creations. Sometimes campers like bringing their own shovels.
- Games (Optional) Campers will be able to play many games like wiffle ball, Spikeball and more. Campers are free to bring some of their own games and toys as well.
